- Abstract
The article focuses on the yellow striped amphibian called Ichthyophis davidi which is found in the Western Ghats of India. It offers information on various holotypes and paratypes of Ichthyophis collected from the Chorla village in Karnataka, India and states that various features which can be observed for identification of Ichthyophis species include the presence of annuli, tail folds and splenial teeth. It also discusses the ecology, habitat and etymology of Ichthyophis species.
