- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the health status of food handlers in food establishments in Bijapur City, India. The subjects underwent detailed physical examination and stool examination. The study found that out of 332 respondents 124 were healthy while the remaining respondents had one or more health problems which include anemia, orodental disease and gastroenteritis. It also found that good personal hygiene was often practiced among highly educated workers compared to illiterates.
