- Authors
Rogers, Tim
- Abstract
The article discusses efforts to stimulate additional research works on the fiddling tradition in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. It theorizes a lack of emphasis on the fiddle in the western Canadian Country. It cites King Ganam and Al Cherny who represented products of Canadian fiddling communities, musical references in Alberta that indicated a strong fiddle presence in its communities and recordings by Sunshine Records indicating the presence of important fiddle communities in western Canada.
