The article offers the author's insights related to the interplay between character and actor in a film focusing on the boundaries between narrative aspects of the characters actor Keanu Reeves plays in his films and his performative aspects as an actor. The author mentions several films where Reeves starred which shows difficulty to analyzed his identity remains as a transnational and hybridized identity, including "Dracula," "The Matrix," and "The Day the Earth Stood Still."
