- Abstract
This article discusses a case of a 34-year-old male who presented with daytime somnolence and headaches. The patient was diagnosed with spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH) based on imaging findings, including brainstem sagging and pituitary hyperemia. A spinal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak was identified as the cause of the SIH, and the patient was treated with a targeted blood patch. The article emphasizes the importance of contrast-enhanced MRI brain for diagnosis and the need to identify the CSF leak site for effective treatment. The authors also mention the importance of obtaining patient consent and declare no conflicts of interest.
