- Abstract
The article discusses how a kindergarten science teacher used an inquiry-based approach with her students during a unit on conservation of resources. Kindergarten teacher Debra Randall introduced her students to the principles of conservation by using an essential question that would lead to investigation and experimentation. The essential question that she asked her students was "Where does trash and garbage come from, and where does it go?"
