- Abstract
The article focuses on the relationship between form and function in the most fundamental concepts of biology. The relationship between form and function is an important benchmark in science education. In fact, form and function is one of the unifying concepts by the National Science Education Standards (NSES). It is noted that forms found in organisms lend themselves to specific tasks and tend to repeat themselves across environments. In fact, students will learn that objects, as well as organisms, sharing similar forms have similar functions.
