- Title
Review Essay: Waste Matters.
- Authors
Evans, David
- Abstract
The article presents literary criticisms of the books "Living With Things: Ridding, Accommodation, Dwelling," by Nicky Gregson, "The Ethics of Waste: How We Relate to Rubbish," by Gay Hawkins, and "A Crisis of Waste? Understanding the Rubbish Society," by Martin O'Brien. It outlines each book's examination of the social context of waste and waste management without denying the materiality of waste. It suggests that sociology is positioned well to investigate waste and its political significance.
