The article focuses on the judicial opinion of the U.S. Ninth Circuit court in the case In re ATM Fee Litigation in which the court uses ruling of U.S. Supreme Court case Illinois Brick Co. v. Illinois related to the limited private treble-damage actions to antitrust violators. It mentions the section 4 of the U.S. Clayton Antitrust Act which prohibits anticompetitive price discrimination and exclusive dealing practices.
