- Authors
Klusmann, Maria; Owens, Catherine
- Abstract
The article discusses the use of high-resolution computer tomography (HRCT) in assessing pediatric diffuse interstitial lung disease (DILD). It is stated that HRCT is a non-invasive tool used to gain information on the pattern and anatomical distribution of lung pathology and is useful in targeting sites for lung biopsy. It cites that the HRCT findings, which include septal thickening, nodules and air cysts, are generally not pathognomonic. It also mentions the HRCT findings of pediatric DILG.
