- Title
Isaac's Blindness: A Case of Narrative Deficiency.
- Authors
Herzberg, Bruce
- Abstract
The author examines the Biblical stories of Isaac's deception by Jacob and of Samson's betrayal by Delilah, arguing that the narrator is ineffective and unaware of the motivates behind each story's protagonist. Despite belief of divine inspiration suggesting that Biblical stories can be credited to God, the author states that no textual evidence exists to support the view of the narrator as omniscient.
