- Abstract
The article reports on the ambushed Algerian military convoy by the Al-Qaeda in the Land of the Islamic Maghreb (AQLIM) in Algeria on July 29, 2009. It cites that 11 soldiers were killed, who were escorts of a group of Chinese workers. Due to this, there were additional 5,000 troops sent to Tipaza and 7,000 troops in Kabylie. Meanwhile, it notes the operation near Batna that killed eight Islamic extremist guerillas, redeployment of terrorist groups, and the Islamic militants killed by the Army.
