- Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to trials and imprisonment in Africa. Anwar Sadat, nephew of former president in Egypt, is facing a military trial when he called his uncle's assassination an international conspiracy involving army commanders. In Kenya, the trial of heir to the Delamere ranch Thomas Cholmondley was postponed to October 30, 2006, on the case of murdering a poacher. In Libya, a prisoner died and 17 people injured on the clashed between the guards and Islamist detainees.
