Screening delle interferenze trigeminali nelle cervicalgie croniche.

- Abstract
Introduzione L’eziologia della cervicalgia è spesso multifattoriale e difficile da identificare e da trattare. Molti studi dimostrato la presenza di risposte trigemino- cervico-spinali che indicano interazioni tra le afferenze trigeminali nocicettive ed i motoneuroni del midollo spinale cervicale sia superiore che inferiore (plesso cervicale e plesso brachiale). L’obiettivo dello screening è la ricerca della fisiologicità del movimento cinematico del cranio attuando delle stimolazioni trigeminali al sistema stomatognatico. Metodi Vengono studiati 35 soggetti con cervicalgia cronica osservando la fisiologicità del movimento cinematico del cranio quindi segnalando le informazioni stomatognatiche alterate con l’Odontorighello© al fine di osservare la presenza di disordini cranio cervico mandibolari correlati. Risultati Su 35 soggetti 7 casi non presentavano interferenza trigeminale mentre 28 sono i casi che presentano disfunzioni correlate al sistema stomatognatico: 6 casi con Sindrome Miofunzionale; 8 casi con Sindrome Occlusale; 8 casi con Sindrome Articolare; 6 casi con sindrome da Dimensione Verticale. Discussione e Conclusione Pur con un ridotto numero di osservazioni si evidenzia come i sottogruppi disfunzionali siano distribuiti omogeneamente nelle diverse sindromi. La componente stomatognatica merita indagini e trattamenti multidisciplinari approfonditi vista l’alta presenza di disfunzioni correlate alla cervicalgia cronica.
