- Abstract
The article discusses the ultimate goal of artificial reefs has been used to improve fishing and sustainable fishery with some element in the aquatic environment in Canary Island. Topics include floating objects used by purse-seine fleets to aggregate tuna and increase their yields helping to recover the production capacity of certain fishing grounds; and protect areas of ecological and fishing interest helping in the natural repopulation with other fishing management.
