- Abstract
The article discusses the study on the species diversity in a mesic forest in east Texas.. The study investigates the succession, maintenance, and disturbance in an east Texas forest located in the Gulf Coastal Plain of the U.S. between the Trinity River and the Neeches River. Result shows several types of hardwoods that present high frequencies of succession including beech, white oak, and magnolia.
