- Abstract
The article discusses various issues concerning the entry of minority groups, specifically African Americans and Hispanics, in the accounting profession in the U.S. It cites the need for accounting professionals to partner with universities to introduce financial literacy programs to urban high school students to resolve the shortage of minority students taking up accountancy courses. It presents the efforts by the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) to resolve the issue.
