- Abstract
Below are the results of a study to evaluate the technical feasibility of leaching white metal (copper matte), this in order to generate an alternative process of low cost and water consumption. The variables concentration of sulfuric acid, ferric ion and chloride ion (added as NaCl) were evaluated. The results indicated that recoveries are obtained over 90%, which indicates that it is technically feasible to lixiviate the copper mat under the conditions under study.
