- Abstract
The article offers information on Karie Ross, the winner of the 1981 Maid of Cotton, in Oklahoma. She was a senior at the University of Oklahoma who was chosen from the 16 finalists in the annual contests conducted by the National Cotton Council. She will in travel in different countries worldwide as an Ambassadress of Goodwill including the U.S., Canada and at least eight countries in Europe and the Far East to focus on the significance of cotton. She is a Dean's Honor Student and a student recruiter at the University of Oklahoma and a major in journalism.
