- Abstract
Cancer is among the most severe cause of population mortality. Discovery and development of new potent anticancer agents are necessary to prevent a global cancer crisis. Oxidative stress and angiogenesis are considered as major causative factors for cancer. In this review, recently studied phytomedicinal plants regarding their antioxidant and antiangiogenic activities along with their phytochemical constituents are discussed briefly, which can provide the new options for the treatment of drugresistant cancer as well. Information on new antioxidant and antiangiogenic plants was collected from 2019 published work by Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The reviewed plants possess potential as anticancer treatment due to their strong antioxidant and antiangiogenic properties.
