- Abstract
The article reports an epidemiology study which describes the patterns and primary mechanisms of sports-related fractures in US high school athletes. The study highlighted the fact that fractures are a significant problem for high school athletes. Consequences of fractures include expensive surgeries, diagnostic testing, and restricted sports participation, which can severely affect adolescent athletes and their families.
