- Abstract
The article discusses a protocol which aims to prevent, control and punish human trafficking, especially in women and children. The protocol, which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, supplements the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime. The provisions of the protocol include the protection of and assistance to trafficked persons, status of trafficked persons in receiving states, and prevention of human trafficking.
