Replacement of native species that are lost to urban growth with widespread 'weedy' nonnative species, which threatens to reduce the biological uniqueness of local ecosystems; Geographical extent of urban sprawl; Recommends that educating the urban human population about its impacts can improve species conservation in ecosystems; Other methods to contribute to conservation.
