- Authors
Roman, Amber
- Abstract
The author discusses the grief surrounding perinatal mortality and morbidity and what can be done to help provide hope and healing for parents who have lost a little baby. The Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida has erected a memorial statue in one of the local cemeteries called the "Angel of Hope" statue as a physical place of remembrance for children lost through miscarriage or other mortality or morbidity. The Angel of Hope gives parents a place to grieve, hold services and heal.
