In the article, the author discusses how the Independent Clearing House Ponzi scheme has resulted in law reforms to avoid the fraudulent transfers of assets by bankrupt companies. Also cited are the promulgation of the Uniform Fraudulent Conveyance Act (UFCA) to allow creditors to prevent a conveyance by an insolvent debtor, and how bankruptcy trustees could avoid fraudulent transfers and clawback certain pre-bankruptcy transfers.
