- Abstract
The authors comment on the research conducted by authors Marc T. Law and Mindy S. Marks titled "Effects of Occupational Licensing Laws on Minorities: Evidence from the Progressive Era." They argue that licensing laws seldom harmed minority workers, rather, they often helped minorities in terms of worker quality. The authors also assert that licensing may have an important role to play in assisting talented minority employees signal quality.
