- Abstract
This work investigates how much the mathematics teacher uses ideas considered paradigmatic in teaching and learning. From recognizable educational proposals, we have highlighted types of activities and types of knowledge that teachers seek. To identify their preferences, a questionnaire was applied to two groups of teachers, from which we obtained declarations of the good or bad acceptance of some reforms. Ideas very similar to others, with good acceptance, are rejected or some global idea whose particular proposals are well received is rejected, we observe that objectives such as interpretation are adopted at the same time that teaching instruments with the potential to develop such objectives are left aside, for example: the use of digital technologies. These three phenomena give shape to a process of selection of significant ideas that are shaped over time, which we conceptualize as the historical memory of teachers.
