- Title
Offener Brief „Mehr Fortschritt wagen: Geschlechtergerechtigkeit in Wissenschaft und Hochschule im Koalitionsvertrag“.
- Abstract
The open letter from the Federal Conference of Women's and Gender Equality Officers to Federal Ministers Bettina Stark-Watzinger and Anne Spiegel calls for specific clarifications and developments for a gender-equitable higher education and science policy. Gender equality should be anchored as a quality standard and cross-cutting theme in all areas of research. It is emphasized that gender policy and gender research should be integrated into funding programs and institutions, particularly with regard to future topics such as digitization and artificial intelligence. The importance of intersectional gender equality work and the promotion of diversity is also emphasized. The text addresses various topics related to gender equality in science, such as the digitization of research and teaching, fair working conditions and pay equity for all status groups in science, as well as strategies against violence against women and the strengthening of reproductive self-determination rights.
