- Abstract
The article titled "Cover Feature: Monocopper model of CuB site of pMMO in N4‐environment oxidizes C‐H bonds" discusses the activation of dioxygen by a copper(I) complex with tetragonal coordination environment provided by an N4‐ligand. The complex undergoes oxidation of the metal center to copper(II) while acquiring one oxygen atom as part of the ligand. This research suggests that dioxygen activation at the tetragonal Cu(I) active site of the copper‐dependent particulate methane monooxygenase (pMMO) should be further investigated. The article is authored by Hugo C. Hernández‐Toledo, Marcos Flores‐Alamo, and Ivan Castillo.
