- Abstract
Our virtual and temporal worlds are experiencing rapid and vast changes as we enter into the second decade of this millennium. This almost frenetic pace of change can be seen in the development of Web technologies which have been applied to the e-learning context in an effort to reach and engage students who are becoming increasingly "technosocial" (Fuchs, 2010, p. 788). There is always the risk that students may become lost within the techno-educational spaces created for them (Dron & Anderson, 2009). Quantum learning environments may help students navigate e-learning and not become lost in cyber pedagogy. Quantum learning environments can be depicted as giant spider webs which exist as integral parts of infinite realms of learning. Such environments connect learners, instructors, technology, and environments. Using the metaphor of the spider web, quantum learning environments become an entangled web in which everything is connected to everything else. In this paper, quantum learning environments are explored in the context of the Quantum Perspective of Learning and Web technology.
