The article discusses the reasons behind failure of teacher tenure lawsuits to enhance academic achievement in the U.S. Topics discussed include several decisions of the courts including California Supreme Court in Vergara v. State, Robinson v. Cahill and Committee for Educational Rights v. Edgar, importance of school finance litigation to improve student achievement and differences between teacher tenure litigation and school finance litigation.
