The article discusses the highlights of the 2008 Hong Kong International Computer Conference. It states that this conference emphasizes the need of Hong Kong to focus on developing unique information technology (IT) services. One of the speakers is Jeremy Godfrey, Chief Information Officer of the Government of Hong Kong, who states that Hong Kong should not emulate Singapore or Taiwan, but should continue its role as an Asian business hub and a gateway or entrepot to China.
