Title
Zoonotic nematodes in dogs in north-west England.
Abstract
The article discusses a study by Alan Wolfe which assesses the prevalence of Toxocara canis and Uncinaria stenocephala in dogs in the Fylde area of Lancashire in England. It concludes that both zoonic parasites are endemic in the area studied and that routine anthelmintic treatment is effective in reducing their prevalence.
