- Title
Emergency services protocol for horses.
- Abstract
The article reports that the British Horse Society (BHS) and the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) has launched an emergency services protocol and fund to help treat horses involved in accidents in Great Britain. The protocol sets out a national standard with procedural guidelines for police and fire services involved in large animal rescue. The protocol was triggered by increasing numbers of reports of horses suffering unnecessarily following accidents.
