Title
Risk factors for clinical mastitis in herds with lower than average somatic cell counts.
Abstract
The article highlights the results of a study of British herds with cell counts of less than 150,000 cells/ml. It attempts to identify factors that are characteristics of clinical mastitis in dairy herds with lower than average bulk milk somatic cell counts. Questionnaires covering aspects of milking and management practices have been sent to farmers who took part in the 12-month study.
