- Abstract
The article presents a study on the risk of multiple myeloma and treatment-related leukemia to patients who are undergone pelvic radiotherapy as treatment for primary tumours. It examines the incidence of multiple myeloma and secondary leukemia, sets up patients based on receipt of pelvic radiotherapy, and analyzes the development of hematologic malignancies. It reveals that pelvic radiotherapy increases the risk of secondary leukemia; however, it does not increase the risk of multiple myeloma.
