Abstract
The article offers an overview on the economic and financial development in Great Britain amidst the global financial crisis in 2009. It stresses that the country's monetary policy continued to be accommodative despite the slow recovery from recessions. It also reviews the official operations and financial markets of the country's Bank of England. Several charts which depict the overall performance of the country's financial market is also presented.
