- Title
Time to end discrimination against brain injury survivors.
- Authors
Hassall, Mandy
- Abstract
The article highlights the results of a survey conducted by the University of Exeter's Social Neuropsychology Research Group in England which demonstrated that health services and some agencies are contributing to discrimination facing survivors of brain injury. According to the author, most brain injury survivors are having difficulty obtaining the postacute care they need due to the complexity of brain injury diagnosis as well as to the fact that recovery from such illness is different for each individual.
