- Abstract
The article provides an assessment in mathematics inquiry. It is stated that mathematical inquiry presents students with real-life problems or problems deemed important to solve. It is indicated that mathematics inquiry classroom is student-focused as learning pathways are negotiated and topics of interest that are relevant to world beyond the classroom are explored. A study by Makar in 2007 describes the inquiry goal as learning how to learn as students build understandings of knowledge.
