- Abstract
The article presents the discussion on describing the effectiveness of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Topics include reducing daytime sleepiness and risk of crashes, improving quality of life, erectile function, and systemic blood pressure; and development of cardiovascular disease (CVD) such as intermittent hypoxemia and hypercapnia, sleep fragmentation, and autonomic activation.
