- Abstract
The article addresses the need to plan and teach social skills to children with emotional and behavioral problems (EBD) in a more instructionally sound way. It reviews the principles of universal designs that have been applied to the teaching of academics including big ideas, primed background knowledge, conspicuous strategies, strategic integration, mediated scaffolding and judicious review. Using this principles, it then provides a teaching guide to social skills training.
