- Abstract
The article discusses the spectral optical coherence tomography for nondestructive examinations. It is stated that the latest accomplishments in SOCT made this technique very useful for nondestructive examination. The main applications of SOCT are found in ophthalmology due to short data acquisition. In art preservation SOCT offers the possibility of fast conclusion of varnish thickness and helps in tracing deformations which are relatively small and tend to expand develop during a long period of time.
