The article focuses on the impact of the rise in information economy on the social and cultural life of the people. The author comments on the opinion from a book reviewer regarding the effects of the Internet on self-identity. He argues that the use of Internet impaired the dynamic interactions among the shifts in one's life-world, representations of self, and sensibilities and understanding of oneself.
