- Abstract
The article offers information concerning desert plants and their exudates, which are complex mixtures of organic materials produced by plants often released as a result of injury. It notes that it is best to get samples of these exudates in botanical gardens or arboreta to generate a chemical library of plant exudates of the world. It also highlights the results of the study stating that there appears to be a simple classification of plant exudates namely: gums, resins, and kinos.
