- Abstract
The article discusses the role of professional science educator in the shortage of manpower in the U.S. Teachers are considered to be competent in the provision of training for the manpower reservoir. There are several aspects for professional science educators to address manpower shortage. They must assume leadership in a program of planned research in science teaching and in revision of curriculum in science education. Moreover, professional science educators must assume leadership in a program to improve the training of science teachers.
