- Abstract
The article presents information on a study related to science education in Massachusetts. The study was concerned with curriculum improvement through channels related to the pre-service and in-service education of teachers. The aim of the study was to suggest ways in which the process of utilizing pertinent materials and methods from the field of science in individual classrooms can be accelerated. The study was performed on 100 teachers teaching in the first six grades of 81 public schools in 29 communities in Massachusetts.
