- Abstract
This article focuses on a game involving the study of four insects. This game has an important place in studying elementary science. The four insects studied in this game are: the fly, the mosquito, the honey bee, and the ant. The same idea may readily be adapted to other insects. The materials needed are: 4 sheets of gray cardboard, 6 pieces of white cardboard, 22 pieces of white cardboard, 26 pieces of white cardboard, 28 small blocks of wood, 28 small brass hooks and 8 large eyelets. Seven screw hooks are placed through each of the 4 large cardboards. The white cardboards are hung on the hooks. Pictures of the insects are pasted on the cardboards. The class is divided into two teams. Each student named to go forward for his side, tells the class what the drawings represent and then hangs them upon the cardboard. Some teachers prefer to explain the plan of the game before the study of the insects.
