Xentrys takes over Propilan.
- Abstract
The article reports that the staple fibers business unit of Xentrys NV has reached an agreement with polyolefin staple fiber producer Propilan SA to acquire its staple fiber business. This transaction will expand the product portfolio of Xentrys, leading to a consolidated group turnover of €180 million in annual sales of specialty fibers and yarns. There are three business units at Xentrys. The carpet yarns unit, which is the core of the technical expansion, completed a €15 million investment throughout 2007. All assets from Propilan, including all personnel and the complete customer portfolio, will be handled by a new company from Xentrys.
