- Authors
Schroeder-Arce, Roxanne
- Abstract
An essay is presented on seeking culturally responsive pedagogical practice in theatre education in the U.S. It employs the theatrical production "And Then Came Tango" as a case study through which the author reflects on her journey to responsibly represent a queer story, and highlights her students' and her own responses to the adversity in the play. It also examines the intersections of scholarship around the LGBT people's representations in theatre for young audiences (TYA).
