- Abstract
The article focuses on the significance of punitive damages in the context of international commercial arbitration. It provides information that the punitive damages have limited practical relevance even though they are regularly awarded by the domestic arbitrations in the U.S. It explains the current status quo and suggests legal developments for the enhancement of the future role of punitive damages.
